The suit challenging the academic qualification of Muhammadu Buhari, has been adjourned indefinitely on thursday by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the federal high court.
The suit filed by an Abuja based lawyer, Nwokocha Ahaiwe, argued that Buhari was not qualified academically to run for the presidential seat. He is alleging that
Buhari did not sit for the Cambridge West African school certificate (WASC) in 1961.
It is worthy of note that this particular issue has been heavy in the minds of many Nigerians who are perplexed as to the credibility of the president's academic qualification and this could have served as a golden opportunity to set matters straight and clear doubts. However, President Buhari hired 13 senior lawyers led by Wole Olanipekun (SAN) and 10 other counsels to argue his case.
